My client is a multi-service law firm based in Manchester. Continued growth has created this opportunity for an experienced Immigration Solicitor to join the team.
Responsibilities
The appointed Immigration Solicitor will be responsible for dealing with a range of matters including: -
- Visa applications
- Sponsorship licences and renewals
- Detained clients
- Victims of trafficking & torture
- Asylum work from initial application through to tribunal appeal and upper court appeal matters
- Entry clearance applications and appeals
- Preparing draft documents including witness statements and processing evidence and preparing applications to meet Home Office requirements
- Providing technical expertise and guidance to other team members
- Make sure that SRA and other relevant regulations are adhered to
Qualifications
Immigration Solicitor 1+ years PQE
- Great communication skills and the ability to engage confidently with colleagues, clients and stakeholders; have the ability to deal with vulnerable client matters in a sensitive manner and resolve complicated practicalities involved in Immigration issues
- The successful candidate will be incredibly organised, have a proven track record of managing their own caseload
- Stay up-to-date with the latest relevant legislation, policy changes and changes in the law
